Winding Meadows Dairy -- Rock Valley, Iowa

See how Terry and Susan Van Maanen expanded their dairy in “baby” steps over 20+ years. They grew from 45 cows to 680 cows, sometimes in 20- to 40-cow increments. They built new facilities, remodeled old ones and even salvaged a burned out parlor. The end result is an affordable modern, attractive dairy with efficient facilities. “You can grow in small steps,” Terry says. “It can be done.”
