Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) is the largest cheese cooperative based in the U.S. We are 1,400 farm families and nearly 1,000 employees driven by a shared purpose: feeding people. In 2020, AMPI dairy farmer-owners marketed 4.7 billion pounds of milk, resulting in $1.8 billion in sales.

Our dairy farmer-owners produce high-quality milk on family farms in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota. Our dairy farmers collectively own eight Midwest-based manufacturing plants where skilled employees use members’ milk to produce 10 percent of the nation’s American-type cheese, processed cheese and butter. Our award-winning dairy products are marketed to foodservice, retail and food ingredient customers.
